LET US DO THE COOKING.

Full Fridge Club is a weekly prepared meal service from Chef Emmet, the Common Table crew and our friend & badass cookbook author Julia Turshen. Every Monday we make a completely new menu of healthy, locally-sourced, beautiful dishes that you take home and enjoy throughout the week. It’s like having a private chef, but WAY more affordable, and we make all the decisions for you. WIN-WIN-WIN!!!

Let us do the planning + sourcing + cooking + clean up so you don’t have to!

MUTUAL AID, by design.

Full Fridge Club extends beyond our clients’ fridges - we are committed to helping feed our less-resourced neighbors, too. Every week, for each customer we cook for, we put at least one meal into one of Kingston’s Community Fridges. Since we started FFC in September 2022, we have put over 1300 meals into the free community fridges (as of February ‘24). That number grows each week, with each customer order.

FAQ

  • A subscription service is one way to consistently support small local food producers and farmers. It also is an attempt to reduce unpredictability in what is a wildly volatile, unsustainable and unpredictable industry. We think of this service as an opportunity for people to find connection through food, and real connections require consistent and frequent contact.

A subscription service like this is geared towards people who live here. We seek to foster consistent support for the local economy through regular orders from small farms, and steady work for local folks.

In short: we are shooting to build a system where you can rely on us - and we, in turn, would like to rely on you.

  • You don’t! You have the option of ordering one week (or a few weeks) at a time. Pricing is a little higher if you go this route (read more about why under “Why a subscription model”), but we welcome you with open arms!

  • Pick-up is from 5pm - 7pm on Monday evenings from our kitchen in Uptown Kingston. If you aren’t able to make it to the pick-up window, subscribers will have the option of collecting their food from our walk-in on Tuesday. If the food isn’t picked up by Tuesday evening, we will donate it to a community fridge. Please remember to BYOB (bring your own bags).

If picking up isn’t your thing, we offer home delivery to Kingston, High Falls, Stone Ridge, Accord & New Paltz for an additional $25/week. Select delivery at checkout.

  • Yes! Subscriptions can be paused by emailing ffc@commontableny.com. We require 1 weeks’ notice to pause subscription orders.

If you plan to be away more than 2 weeks out of the month, we ask that you cancel your subscription and purchase one-offs for the weeks you are in town.

Alternatively, instead of pausing when you travel, you can donate your subscription meals to the community fridges for the weeks that you’re away. Just let us know and we’ll drop the meals off at one of the fridges.

  • The food will be gluten-free. Nuts, dairy and cilantro can all be kept on the side or omitted (just let us know if you need any of these options). We are generally unable to accommodate other allergies, but drop us a line at hello@commontableny.com if you’ve got questions about specific intolerances and whether this service might work for you.

  • Our base menus are all vegetarian, but you are given the option to add one meat dish per week (for an additional fee).

  • Nope! Full Fridge Club likely isn’t able to accommodate allergies other than gluten and nuts, and it may not be a great fit for very picky eaters. If you have other restrictions or particularities and still want us to cook for you, we can definitely do that! Please check out our Personal Chef page for more info on our customized meal delivery services.

  • We currently use compostable packaging from Good Start Packaging. The materials are a combination of recycled fiber and PLA. While these items are not compostable in a home composting system, they break down quite quickly in a landfill and use significantly less energy in the manufacturing process.

We recognize that disposable products are never ideal. We try to think about sustainability from a variety of angles, and we recognize that our current human and financial resources aren’t great enough to purchase, keep track of and sanitize re-usable containers for every subscriber.

We are always looking to reduce our environmental impact, and will continue to asses what our best and most sustainable packaging options are as we grow.

  • Yes! If you’re interested in subscribing, but don’t want to pay online, drop us an email at hello@commontableny.com and we’ll get you set up with an offline subscription.

  • No! There will be a few weeks per year that we don’t cook for Full Fridge Club - dates will be posted with plenty of notice.

  • The answer is YES. If you’re out of town and can’t make a Monday night pick-up, just drop us a line and we’ll arrange for you to pick up from our kitchen on Tuesday instead.
