Soup in The Time of COVID-19
It’s a scary and difficult time right now. I don’t know much, but I do know that when things feel scary, it can be hard to feed yourself well. I also know that feeding yourself well is one thing that can make things feel a little less scary! So many people are unexpectedly feeding themselves and their loved ones three meals a day at home, and that can exhaust one’s already-very-frayed nerves.
My hope is to alleviate some of that stress – to give you a break when you really need it. My goal is to bring health-supportive food and nourishment to local folks who need it — and to be able to continue to employ my very small staff while their other work has all but disappeared.
And so my brain turned (as it often does) to soup. Everything is vegan, gluten-free and nut-free. Everything is sold by the quart – 1 container is 32 oz of soup. Everything should freeze nicely. Everything will come in non-plastic packaging that is disposable. I source ingredients from small local, no-spray farms as much as I can.
These particular soups are available for pick-up ONLY in Kingston, NY on Wednesday April 15th, between 4pm – 6pm. Pick-up details will be sent once your order is placed. Order deadline: Sunday April 12th at 9pm. You can pay when you pick-up (contactless distribution). Don’t get thrown by the questions about shipping on checkout – they aren’t real.
